The weather in Texas is expected to stay hot and dry for the next week, with daytime temperatures in the 80s and 90s. Some areas may even reach 100 degrees. Although nights will be pleasant, the lack of rain could lead to a flash drought. There’s a risk of grass fires due to the above-average temperatures and dry conditions.
The only significant weather system in the region will be a tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico early next week. While the details are uncertain, it seems likely that the system will move east of Texas toward Louisiana and Florida. Residents in those areas should keep an eye on the forecast as we get closer to the weekend and next week.
