Isolated to scattered storms are possible Friday evening through the morning hours on Saturday in Northwest Texas, Texoma, the Big Country, and Concho Valley. Storms may not develop until 5-7PM, so much of the afternoon may be storm-free. An uptick in thunderstorms are expected to occur Friday night, with some storms likely producing large hail and damaging wind gusts. Frequent lightning and heavy rain are expected. A brief tornado can’t be ruled out.
Multiple rounds of storms will result in an active Saturday and Saturday Night in Texoma, North Texas, Big Country, Concho Valley, Edwards Plateau, Hill Country, and Central Texas. After storms in the morning; more storms are expected to develop Saturday afternoon and again Saturday night. The most intense storms will be capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. With multiple rounds of storms, we may see localized flooding in areas that get dumped on with rain from multiple storms.
Storms on Saturday Night will continue moving east Sunday morning into Sunday afternoon across the eastern third of Texas. Some storms may continue producing large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain.
Between one to four inches of rain is forecast to fall this weekend in Texoma, Northwest Texas, Big Country, Concho Valley, North Texas, and Northeast Texas.
