Let’s see if this video actually has working audio that doesn’t make me sound like I’m blowing bubbles underwater.
As last night’s round of storms continues to move across East Texas and Southeast Texas this afternoon, another round is already developing in the Trans-Pecos, Permian Basin, and Big Bend. Those storms out west this afternoon will produce hail larger than baseballs and damaging wind gusts.
They will upscale into another large squall line that moves east tonight and Wednesday morning across North Texas, Big Country, Concho Valley, Central Texas, Hill Country, Rio Grande Plains, Edwards Plateau, Coastal Bend, Coastal Plains, and Brazos Valley.
More storms are expected to fire up Wednesday afternoon in the Brazos Valley, East Texas, and Southeast Texas, with a risk of some of those storms becoming severe and the potential for brief tornadoes.
Multiple waves of heavy rain and storms moving across the Interstate 35 corridor from North Texas down into Central Texas and South Texas will increase the threat of flooding due to localized rain totals of 5 to 10 inches by Thursday night. Most folks will receive between one and four inches of rain.
