Severe storms have ended for tonight across North and Northeast Texas, but we are not done with this active late-April pattern.

Tuesday brings another severe weather risk across North Texas, Texoma, Northeast Texas, and the ArkLaTex. A morning round of storms with hail and gusty winds may move across parts of the Big Country, North Texas, Texoma, and Northeast Texas, but the main concern will be Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Scattered to several intense severe storms may develop Tuesday afternoon and evening across DFW, North Texas, Texoma, Northeast Texas, and the ArkLaTex. Areas to watch include Sherman, Bonham, Paris, Clarksville, Boston, Texarkana, Tyler, Longview, Marshall, Canton, Terrell, and nearby communities.

Main threats Tuesday:
• Very large hail, possibly baseball size or larger
• Damaging wind gusts over 70 mph
• A few tornadoes possible
• Heavy rain, frequent lightning, and localized flooding

Morning storms, if they happen, may also leave behind boundaries that could locally enhance the severe weather risk later in the day.

We’ll have a full update Tuesday morning and live severe weather coverage if storms develop.
